Therapeutic Rambling

This is an attempt to make sense of my life and order of my cluttered mind. It is also intended to be a journal of no particular interest to anyone, a record of events and non-events that occur in my life.

Change

Ok, since everyone else is going on ad nauseam about the coronation, I will too.

Yes, it's great that there is a young black man in the White House. But it makes me really sad that the fact that he is black at all even needs to be mentioned. I know it is the biggest thing ever, but it should have happened a long time ago.

One thing I am curious about though - have they actually moved in yet? Where are their kids while they are out at the ten inauguration balls tonight?

I really hope he turns out to be the saviour (ok, yes, I said it) that everyone hopes he is. I like him. He seems to be someone with vision, someone who actually does some work, not just a stupid, rich puppet. But let me tell you, I will be irreparably embittered if he turns out to be some philanderer or in the pocket of Big Pharma or some Sheikh with oil.

And that is all I will say on the new President.

I like change. Some kinds of change. Heavens, when I get all restless from hormones or cabin fever, I pick a new hair colour or rearrange the furniture. When I have a rough day at work, I apply for a new job. It's all an adventure, and most of my gotta-change-now decisions actually work out to be positive - I have truly regretted few. Which is a good thing - they happen often.

More to come on my latest change - occurring February 2. I'll keep you posted.
